Welcome to my world of characters!
Have fun looking over the descriptions.
Shard:
A narcissistic evil other that recently arrived in Thorae. At the
beginning of this story, she is about 16 years old. She is the one writing in
first person perspective. She had a strong connection to her original, thus she
can remember her creation; something most others cannot do. She is very lazy
and gets bored easily. Shard hates weakness and will go to great lengths to become
stronger. She’s power hungry, but only when it’s convenient. She has no problem
lying or killing to get her way. Shard doesn’t think ahead too often and has
problems controlling her anger. Throughout the story she gains a diverse array
of fighting skills, but her weapon of choice is a sword.
Nathalia:
A mysterious/delirious woman around 19 years old, but looks almost ten
years older. Nathalia has a rare disorder called Xeroderma Pigmentosum, making exposure
to sunlight near lethal. She is also blind. It has been hinted that she traded
physical sight for her telepathic abilities. She can see major portions of
another’s future, usually their death, through direct contact. If she chooses
to do so, she can reveal these images. Nathalia makes use of an array of
throwing knives. She is able to defend herself by reading her opponents’
thoughts. She cannot see into her own future. Extensive use her power is physically straining, to the point that her
eyes will bleed.
Tyrone:
The commander at Tarish. While he is only a second lieutenant, he is
still the highest-ranking official in the area. While Tarish was once a great
fortress on the northeastern front, its function has withered to not much else
than a trading outpost. Even so, the surrounding town is one of few better off
settlements on the northern plains. Tyrone strives to do what he can with his
severely limited military resources and often turns to other means of obtaining
funds for weaponry. One of the most profitable methods is the arena.
Seven Oxford:
A polite guard stationed in Tarish, an
out of the way fortress. He is the son of a fisherman and has two younger
siblings. Oxford’s home country, Izlandia, is an island just off the coast of
La’Esk. Because Izlandia is currently under CS occupation, enlistment as a CS
soldier was mandatory. While Oxford did well in training, he could never bring
himself to take the life of another (even when commanded to). He often finds
himself at odds with his position in the Syndicate’s army. Despite this, Oxford
keeps a cheery disposition. He knows some light magic, but doesn’t practice it
very much. He would rather play the tin whistle his sister gave him than fight
anyway. He also has a noticeable British accent. It has been mentioned that his
name, Seven, means Seashore in the olden tongue.
Largo “Winchester” Pride:
A friend of Oxford’s from their time in
training. He is a first class marksman and is proficient with any firearm he
can get his hands on. Largo was assigned to La’Vale (La’Esk’s capital) for his
extraordinary skill right after training while Oxford was sent to Tarish, a
severely underfunded outpost. Largo’s weapon of choice is the Winchester rifle,
hence his nickname. His greatest dream in life is becoming captain of his own ship.
